Once upon a time there was heaven...

God said to angels, "Go and play, my child. I have made a beautiful place for you filled with serenity and richness of elixir. It will enlighten your soul." So the angels went to the heaven named earth to get a real sense of what joy is all about. They watched flowers unfold and songbirds singing how a river on its way to the sea was joined by small streams of love so that it grows fuller and stronger. How the trees blossomed and how the earth became purer with lots of love and happiness around with each day.

A day came when humans stepped on this very pure earth. Angels were happy as they saw the universe growing more beautifully. They were born with four elements: Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. Alas! The first element overpowered him and embezzled him.

He forgot that he doesn't own the earth for an extraordinarily long and indefinite period. A fair-weather living being he was. The world became a mirror of his attitude and expectations.

He divided his very father into religion and fought with each other over Bhagwan and Allah. Earth was divided into countries and countries into districts. There were divisions by class, colour, race, place and much more. The land was divided into 243 parts, and further divisions were about to take place. Like water stales when it gets reserved in one place, in the same way, countries were degrading because they stopped sharing and helping each other.

Angels looked at all this in sadness and wondered what had happened.

They saw their beautiful heaven dying.

They thought to help, dropped a blessing over each country.

One went to India and saw 1.2 billion people affected by corruption, 1.4-1.6 million population was suffering from AIDS, 1.3 billion still below the poverty line and 1.1 billion without water. Here, 750000 girls were being aborted every year, and many girls missing from the country were being found buried in some graveyard.

One angel who went to Afghanistan saw 40% of the population going through violence and scars in day-to-day life, and up to 3 million Afghans were facing hunger, malnutrition, and disease. Only 3% received primary education among a million girls. 57% were married at the age of 16. Girls, if going through any physical abuse, were sentenced under the law for adultery.

One who went to America saw 43 million living in poverty. People here were being forced to fight with the outer countries. Millions of them were not able to afford secondary education and were dominating other countries like South Arabian countries.

In this way, they went to various countries and saw billions of people dying because of hunger.

They became upset, went back to heaven and looked down. They were startled more when they saw the condition of their earth.

States of the USA, which were about the size of Odisha, were losing an acre of its land every 24 minutes!

Eight hundred ninety cubic miles of ice was lost!

Glacial lakes were disappearing every month!

Oceans were turning into carbonic acid!

Seven million people in India were becoming homeless because of the slow rise of the water level!

Every day 50 to 100 animals or insect species were becoming extinct as their habitat, and human influences were destroying them.

Sixty-three thousand square miles of rainforests were being destroyed each year.

4% loss was there in the ozone layer leading to diseases like hormonal disorders.

Broken and sad, they went back to the father and started telling him the story," Once upon a time there was heaven."

Now they are back again and live with satisfaction and joy. They are glad that they have been provided with a chance to love, to play and to look up at the stars again.

In this way, they are now living in happiness and joy. Oh! About man. Well! He is extinct.
